When supervisors prioritize production over safety, employees notice. When leaders get in the field or on the factory floor and recognize safe behaviors, use stop work to address hazards, and demonstrate genuine concern for their teammates, employees notice that too.
The organizations with the strongest safety cultures understand that supervisors and managers are culture builders. They influence attitudes, behaviors, and expectations more than anyone else in the organization.
